We’re coming together as a team to support Geralyn, who’s family has been profoundly affected by Parkinson’s disease.
We often think of Parkinson’s as something that only happens to older adults. While rare, young adults and children can also suffer from this disease.
For them, simple tasks like writing or dressing have become difficult, and they struggle with balance and tremors.
Her hope, and ours, is that ongoing research will lead to treatments that slow down or even halt the progression before symptoms worsen.
